Does your dog know basic obedience skills at home, but struggle with focus In public places? In Community Canine, an advanced dog training class, we help you elevate your dog's learning to a new level, generalizing foundation behaviors like Sit, Down, Stay, and Leave It in real world settings, and helping your dog learn to tune out distractions like other dogs and people. If you are considering training your dog for ESA (emotional support animal), therapy dog, or service dog work, this class is a great place to start, but all dogs can benefit! This class is based on the AKC Canine Good Citizen basic and advanced tests, and you have the option to take the relevant test at the end of the four weeks! This class is appropriate for fully vaccinated puppies and dogs age 16 weeks and up, that are not reactive to other dogs or people. If your pup barks excessively at dogs or people when on leash, please start with a private lesson. Classes meet once per week for four weeks, at dog friendly businesses in the Williamson County area. Prerequisites: -If you are new to training with us, please contact us for approval before signing up -Your dog should be able to do a Sit and a Down with 2 or fewer cues (word and/or hand signal), and should be able to walk on leash without pulling hard.
