Muzzle Conditioning: A Positive Approach
In this video we summarize the process of conditioning dogs to be comfortable and accepting of wearing a muzzle. Even dogs with no history of aggression can benefit from learning to be comfortable wearing a muzzle. If a procedure that is uncomfortable or scary becomes necessary, your dog will already be familiar with the muzzle and not frightened of it.
Paw target: A Go Outside Signal
This is a summary of how to teach a dog or puppy to paw at the door to go outside. You can use a doggie doorbell button or plate to teach this the same way, if you don't want your dog scratching on the door itself. Teaching your dog this behavior is very important in the process of potty training, so your puppy will know how to let you know he needs to go out.
