Socialization in Georgetown,
TX.
At The Social Pup, we help dogs and their people be their best! Through individualized private dog training lessons, we strive to help people understand dog behavior and needs, and help them provide the socialization, training, and enrichment that enhances the human-canine bond. We use only positive reinforcement methods. We believe training is a lifelong journey, and one that should be fun!

Why Socialize?

The primary socialization period in dogs begins at just three weeks of age, and continues until around twelve weeks. During this primary socialization period, puppies learn what kinds of things are normal and not to be feared. It's critical that puppies have positive encounters with unfamiliar people, animals, objects and environments, and that those encounters are many and varied.
WHAT PEOPLE SAY
Leannah was amazing! I had a unique situation with my puppy and she was patient, attentive, and shared her knowledge with me so I may continue the work while traveling with my pup! Her training facility is spacious, clean, and safe. We met in public for social interaction and "unexpected" situations and my pup has grown to be social and kind while not reacting to any surprises. Thank you Leannah!!!

I am so happy my puppy and I found Leannah! Her teaching style is calm, loving, positive and tailored to your dog. She has helped me understand how my dog thinks, and how I can reinforce positive behavior. Thank you, Leannah!

Leannah was the perfect choice for us. We were looking for someone to train us how to train our lab pup.
Wow! She anticipated most of our questions and problems, and gave us very effective training techniques (positive rewarding) for those problems — and even the many others we threw at her. It is such a relief to see our dog be so happy to be a good dog now.
Leannah is very personable, very knowledgeable, and clearly cares for the happiness and safety of dogs and their families.
I suspect we will be calling on her again when we run into new situations as our dog matures and is exposed to more situations.
