Basic Dog Manners

In Basic Dog Manners, a group dog training class for dogs six months and up, we teach you the skills and knowledge you need to have a great relationship with your dog! Your dog will learn the basic obedience skills they need to be successful living with people, such as how to greet people without jumping up, how to walk on leash without pulling, and how to be calm and responsive in distracting environments. Classes take place at our home based training facility or in public parks in Georgetown, TX. 

 

You will learn:

 

  • All about dog behavior and communication

  • How to meet your dog's social/emotional/physical needs

  • How to prevent problem behaviors 

  • How to build good behaviors and habits

  • The basics of effective dog training skills

 

Your dog will learn:

 

  • Response to name/come when called

  • To greet people politely

  • How to walk politely on leash

  • How to be calm around other dogs and people

  • How to ignore food on the ground

  • A beginning Stay

Puppy Prime Time

The first three months of your puppy's life are the most important time for socialization and training - get the most bang for your buck out of dog training by starting early to build good behaviors and prevent bad ones! A group puppy training class for puppies 8 - 20 weeks of age, Puppy Prime Time is part socialization, and part training - everything your puppy needs to grow into a calm, confident and cooperative canine! Classes take place in our home based training facility in Georgetown, TX. 

 

You will learn:

 

  • What to expect during puppyhood

  • All about dog behavior and communication

  • How to socialize your puppy safely

  • How to meet your puppy's needs

  • How to prevent problem behaviors 

  • How to build good behaviors and habits

  • An effective and positive method for puppy potty training

  • An effective and positive method for puppy crate training

 

Your puppy will learn:

 

  • That new things are normal and not to be feared

  • How to play with other puppies

  • Response to name/come when called

  • To wait quietly in a crate, pen, or on a mat

  • To greet people without jumping up

  • To cooperate with routine care (veterinary and grooming procedures)

  • How to wear a collar and harness

  • How to walk politely on leash
